Ronald Mazza, a 53 year old male from Beatrice, NE was driving a 2007 Jeep eastbound on Locust Road. Robert Day, a 25 year old male from David City, NE was southbound on Highway 77.
Day had two passengers in his vehicle, his wife Michelle, and an infant son.
Day stated he observed Mazza stop at the stop sign and then pull out in front of him in an attempt to turn left onto Highway 77. Mazza was transported via ambulance to Bryan West Hospital in Lincoln for his injuries. The Sheriff’s Office would like to thank employees of L-Con Inc., who were working nearby at Northern Natural Gas, for assisting in traffic control during the accident investigation.
